Professor of New Testament. Area of research: the Dead Sea Scrolls and the New Testament, with a special focus on apocalypticism, meals, gender, and laws of purity. My latest book, with Tobias Hägerland: “Jesus, the Apocalyptic Prophet,” T & T Clark / Bloomsbury (forthcoming, 2021). I am the editor for a volume on the Dead Sea Scrolls, which is part of the ten-volume series Ancient Literature for New Testament Studies (Zondervan Academic), for which I am also one of two General editors.
