Nordblad works as a researcher and lecturer at the Department of History of Science and Ideas. She is currently working on a project entitled Political Representation of Future Generations: Sustainability in Political Language: France 1780–1850. The project examines the concept of future generations in political debates during this decisive period. She was affiliated with the EHESS in Paris during the spring semester 2015.
Nordblad earned her PhD in Intellectual History from the Department of Literature, History of Ideas, and Religion, University of Gothenburg in April 2013 with a thesis entitled The Conditions of Equality: Demos, Empire and Pedagogy in Brittany, Tunisia, Torne Valley and Lapland, 1880–1925
Nordblad has worked as a lecturer in the History of Ideas at Stockholm, Uppsala and Gotenburg universities. In 2009/2010 she was a visiting scholar at the Department of French and Romance Philology, Columbia University, NYC.
