Biography
Peters main field of expertise is youth, labour market entrance and mobility as well as regional and local development. In 1991 Peter launched an enterprise which is ‘still alive and well’ with the focus on local development, youth questions and social work. The academic career can be summarised as follows: he received his PhD in 1996 and has ever since been working in research and academic teaching, lately with a focus on administration of research and educational (including strategic planning, evaluation and budget issues). In 2007 he was appointed as full professor in education at Uppsala University as well as appointed as professor in Sociology at Luleå University of Technology. Between 2011 and 2013 Peter was the dean of the faculty of education at Uppsala University.
