Research interests: Modern history, political economy, policy change & policy processes, interest group theory and regulatory theory, self-regulation, corporatism, export promotion, marketing history, advertising history, media history, business history, entrepreneurship.

Ph.D. Economic History
My research has often concerned the historical development of marketing as manifested in the regulatory changes within advertising and the professionalization and development of export promotion. I have a keen interest in alternative forms of regulation, such as self-regulation and co-regulation. I have studied them within the context of marketing regulation during the Swedish post-war era. Theoretically I focus on key stake holders within the political economy, and how regulatory change relates to their interaction with themselves as well as that with the wider institutional structure.
Further, I have a research interest in interest group theory, marketing and advertising history, history of the consumer, corporatism, business history and the Swedish post-war era.
