Short presentation
I am a PhD student in Cultural Anthropology. My research project concerns the perinatal maternal experience and reproductive technologies in Maputo. My purpose is to understand how reproductive technologies, medical practices, and discourses shape and are shaped by women's modes of existence in Maputo, and how they intersect with self-perceptions during pregnancy and post-partum. Fieldwork is being carried out in the city and province of Maputo, located in the southern part of Mozambique.
