Biography
Associate professor. Current research interests address principals' identity, autonomy and school improvement. Head of the National School Leadership Training Programme. He is linked to the research group REL (Research on Educational Leadership).
Ongoing research projects:
Project leader (2023-2026): "Comparing Leadership Autonomy in Swedish, Finnish and Icelandic Municipalities and Schools", funded by the Swedish Research Council. The project group also includes Maria Jarl, assistant professor at the University of Gothenburg, Wieland Wermke, professor at Stockholm University, and Gunnlaugur Magnusson, associate professor at Uppsala University.
Project partner (2021–2024): "Comparisons of Leadership Autonomy in School Districts and Schools (CLASS)", funded by the Norwegian Research Council. The project is led by Professor Tine Prøitz at the Department of Economics, History and Social Sciences, University of Southeast Norway.
