I am trying to understand the role of environmental heterogeneity in the evolution of inheritance systems. My main focus lies on the evolution of epigenetic inheritance in life history traits during adaptation to environments differing in their cycle length. I am investigating these questions using experimental evolution in nematode worm Caenorhabditis remanei.
