Sophia Hatz is a Researcher and substitute Senior Lecturer. Her research interests relate to state-led coercion and repression: spanning violence, human rights violations and restrictions on civil liberties. She is particularly interested in how civilians perceive and respond to coercion and repression. Methodologically, she specialises in survey methods and experimental design. She earned her PhD in May 2019.
