Sophia Hatz is a Researcher (Forskare).
Her research interests relate to state-led human rights violations and restrictions on civil liberties. She is particularly interested in how civilians perceive and respond to state coercion and repression. Methodologically, she specialises in survey methods and experimental design. She has conducted research in diverse contexts such as Israel, Palestine, the U.S., Japan and China. She earned her PhD from Uppsala University in May 2019.
