My dissertation project draws from a discourse analytical perspective and studies review experts’ assessment, or construction, of educational expertise within diverse academic reward systems, such as the tenure appointment system, the promotion system and parallel systems for admittance of excellent teachers.
The project is driven by questions like:
How can we understand the phenomenon educational expertise in academia? What discursive articulations are expressed in assessments of educational expertise in different contexts? What meanings of educational expertise are constructed and which ones are excluded through various practices of assessment.
