Kort presentation

Detta stycke finns inte på svenska, därför visas den engelska versionen.

My research interests focus on understanding of electron transfer processes within (bio)electrocatalysts and on the electrode/catalyst interface at the molecular level and on the exploration of novel concepts for electrocatalytic devices based on this new understanding.

Nyckelord: electrochemisrty bioelectrocatalysis plasmon-driven catalysis

Biografi

I graduated from Lomonosov Moscow State University with a Specialist degree in Analytical Chemistry in 2011. I got my PhD degree in Applied Physics from Linköping University, the Department of Physics, Chemistry and Biology (IFM) under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Mats Eriksson and Prof. Anthony Turner in 2016. During my PhD I have been working on electron transfer in bioelectrocatalytic systems, such as biosensors and biofuel cells, using various electrochemical methods. After defending my thesis, I have started a postdoctoral appointment at Stanford University in Prof. Solomon’s group, where I continued to investigate biological electron transfer utilizing advanced spectroscopic techniques coupled to quantum mechanical calculations. After a two-year postdoctoral training, I joined the Molecular Biomimetics Program at Uppsala University, where I am currently employed as a Wallenberg Research Fellow.

Forskning

My research bridges the disciplines of electrochemistry and (bio)inorganic chemistry and utilizes a range of electrochemical, spectroscopic and theoretical techniques, including single entity electrochemistry, protein film electrochemistry, electron paramagnetic resonance spectroscopy and quantum mechanical calculations, to address fundamental questions of relevance to electrocatalysis.
