Forskning

My research focuses on biomaterials, biomechanics and the interaction in between. I have a strong focus on additive manufacturing, or 3D-printing.

Projects revolve around the development and characterization of new biomaterials but also characterization of soft and hard tissues. Other projects focus on the design and characterization of implants, alone or in combination with tissues.

Ongoing projects:

  • Additive manufacturing of degradable bone augmentation materials
  • Additive manufacturing of sensing materials
  • Injectable, permanent bone augmentation materials
  • Wear resistant biomedical coatings
  • Characterization of tissue mechanical properties
  • Bone fracture treatment systems
  • Improved models for biomaterial and implant design evaluation
