I am PhD researcher in geohydrology working on Performance Assessment of nuclear waste repositories. My research is focused on flow and transport of radionuclides from repositories to the biosphere through faults & fractures in geological barriers, in an event of failure of the engineered barriers.

As a participant of the DECOVALEX project, I am adopting numerical modelling and simulation approach to perform wide range of computational analysis for different scenarios of contaminant transport.

Nicholas Izuchukwu Osuji is a PhD researcher in Geohydrology at the Department of Earth Sciences in Uppsala University. He obtained his master's degree in Petroleum Engineering from China University of Petroleum, Beijing and a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Federal University of Technology Owerri, Nigeria. At Uppsala University, his research is focused on modelling of coupled Thermo-Hydro-Mechanical (THM) processes in fractured rock for performance assessment, uncertainty evaluation, and sensitivity of conceptual model representation and heterogeneity simplification of geological barriers for Nuclear Waste Disposal.
