Monika Gutestam Hustus

Biografi

Monika Gutestam is the Project Leader for the Uppsala Health Summit, a collaborative initiative with seven partners and hosted by Uppsala University. Before joining the Uppsala Health Summit, Monika was a consultant with the Health, Nutrition, and Population Global Practice at the World Bank, working on Knowledge Management and Communications for the Health and Nutrition teams. Before joining the World Bank, Monika was Director of Advocacy and Communications for Save the Children, specializing in maternal, child, and newborn health issues. During her time at Save the Children, she managed communication initiatives, knowledge management, global partnerships, and special communication initiatives such as TV documentaries and global publication launches. Before her time with Save the Children, Monika was a Global Project Manager for the international NGO Plan International, capturing and creating global best practices and lessons learned for the organization.

Monika also has a background in United Nations peace-keeping and peace-building, having worked as a peace-keeping analyst for the Swedish Ministry of Defense and the UN's Department of Peace-keeping Operations, capturing knowledge and lessons learned from global actors and senior military and civilian staff.
