Kort presentation

In 2015 more than 160 000 where registered as asylum seeking refugees in Sweden, twice as many as in 2014. Historically, most of the refugees had been placed in urban areas, but in 2015 small municipalities received the most asylum seekers per capita. What is it like to be a newcomer in a countryside town? What relations, or, if you will, culture, emerge? In my doctoral project, I study the dynamics between newcomers and local community, with a certain focus on ethical and moral engagements.
