Charlotte Grech-Madin holds a PhD from the Department of Peace and Conflict Research, with affiliation to the UNESCO Cat. II International Centre for Water Cooperation, Stockholm.

Her research expertise includes international relations theory, security studies, and qualitative and case study methods. Specifically, her doctoral dissertation uncovered the relationship between water and military decision-making, as well as the legal-normative frameworks that preclude water as a weapon of war.
