I am a PhD-Candidate at the Department of Government since September 2015. In my research I look at how political elites in Georgia and Ukraine have worked to consolidate state independence, following the end of Soviet Union. I use primarily qualitative methods, such as interviews with decision makers and diplomats. This data is collected during field trips in Georgia and Ukraine.
Moreover, I am interested in state-building, foreign and security policy, democratization, and EU-enlargement within the context of former Soviet Union.
I teach international politics (lecturer and seminar teacher) and supervise theses.
