Biografi
Jag arbetar i forskningsprojektet Juno. Omkring 10 % av alla förlossningar beräknas medföra negativa upplevelser och kan leda till psykologiska stressreaktioner hos föräldrarna. En förlossning som upplevs starkt negativ kan leda till posttraumatisk stress. Majoriteten av de som har allvarliga symtom på posttraumatisk stress till följd av förlossningen återhämtar sig spontant, medan ungefär 1-2 % utvecklar PTSD. Sett ur ett samhällsperspektiv är det särskilt allvarligt att posttraumatisk stress i så hög grad drabbar personer i barnafödande ålder eftersom man vet att nedstämdhet och ångest hos nyblivna föräldrar kan få allvarliga konsekvenser för hela familjen. I min forskning undersöker jag effekten av en internetbaserad stödbehandling som riktar sig till personer med negativ förlossningsupplevelse. Behandlingen ges i flera steg och bygger på principer från Kognitiv Beteendeterapi.
