Alexander Dobeson is a researcher at the Department of Sociology and member of the Uppsala Lab of Economic Sociology. His work investigates the fashioning of new markets and property rights in contemporary capitalism.
Alexander is currently a visiting fellow at the London School of Economics, Department of Sociology (November 2018 to October 2020)
His current project investigates the organisational fields of land valuation and market-making in Germany and the UK.

Alexander Dobeson studied sociology, philosophy and political sciences at the University of Bamberg (Germany) and the University of Copenhagen (Denmark). He was a visiting fellow at the University of Chicago (USA) and completed his PhD with an ethnography on the organisation of new markets and property rights in the fisheries at Uppsala University in 2016.
Alexander is currently a visiting fellow at the London School of Economics and Political Science (UK).
