Biografi

During the years 2007-2014, Per Ahlgren worked as bibliometrician at Stockholm University, whereas he worked as bibliometric analyst at KTH Royal Institute of Technology 2014-2018. He holds a PhD in library and information science from University of Gothenburg, and he holds the title of docent (Associate Professor) of information studies (with focus on text retrieval and bibliometrics) at the School of Information Sciences, University of Tampere, Finland. Ahlgren is guest professor at National Science Library of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, and at Chengdu Library and Information Center, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Chengdu. He belongs to the editorial board of Quantitative Science Studies.
Forskning
Ahlgren’s research interests include, but are not limited to, bibliometric indicators, bibliometric methods and techniques, citation analysis and science mapping.
Ahlgren is affiliated to Department of Statistics, Uppsala University.
