My courses

My main research interest is within the fields of social, urban and educational geography, with a specific focus on children, young people and families and their relation to the built environment. I am particularly interested in children’s and young people’s everyday mobility and well-being in public space. Other interests are geographies of fear and risk, identity and place, residential segregation, physical planning as well as families’ everyday time-spatial organization. I my research I use mainly qualitative methods such as participatory observation, in-depth interviews and maps. I am currently doing video etnographic research on mobile preschools.
