Biography

I graduated and got a Ph.D. degree in Analytical Chemistry at Kyiv National University (Ukraine) in 2004. After my Ph.D., I worked as an Assistant Professor at Kyiv National University (2004-2008). I did post-doc at the Department of Physical and Analytical Chemistry, Uppsala University (2008-2011) in the group of Prof. Jonas Bergquist.

At the moment I continue my research as a scientist at the Department of Chemistry-BMC. The area of my research work is proteomics. The main focus of my research is high-resolution mass spectrometry, which is a powerful tool in modern proteomic studies.

The overall aim of my research is to define a panel of protein biomarkers for early diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease (AD). We are aiming to gain a deeper understanding of the mechanisms behind the disease for developing of strategies for improved medical treatments and, ultimately, a cure for AD.
