My research interests include the following topics:

• Semitic Philology: morphology, semantics of the verbal system, sociolinguistics, language contact, language change

• Assyriology: Akkadian and Sumerian languages and literatures, Peripheral Akkadian

• Northwest Semitic: linguistic study of Ancient Hebrew, Phoenician-Punic, Transjordanian, and Old Aramaic inscriptions, Egyptian Aramaic

• Hebrew Bible and Ancient Near East: religion of Ancient Israel, biblical art of narrative, comparative study of biblical and Ancient Near Eastern literatures
