Guilherme Marques Pedro

I am currently researching the human rights of migrants in international law at the Department of Philosophy, Uppsala University. My book Reinhold Niebuhr and International Relations Theory: Realism beyond Thomas Hobbes came out in the IR Theory Research Series of Routledge in 2017.

Before coming to Uppsala, I was a lecturer in international relations at the University of Beira Interior in Portugal. I hold a PhD from the Department of International Politics, Aberystwyth University. I have taught international relations and legal and political theory at the Department of International Politics in Aberystwyth, Nova University in Lisbon and in Uppsala University. My research interests lie in the fields of international relations theory, early modern political thought and the history of international law.
