Biography
I am a licensed psychologist with a cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) specialization and a doctor of medical science. I defended my dissertation in 2021 with the title "Overcontrol in anorexia nervosa: assessment, occurrence, and treatment." My doctoral research focused on exploring the relationship between different types of emotion regulation styles and various types of eating disorder problems, as well as investigating whether treating overcontrol of emotions in anorexia can be an effective intervention. During this time, I also worked clinically in the adult eating disorder unit at Akademiska Hospital. Currently, I am working clinically in child and adolescent psychiatry and also conducting a clinical postdoctoral fellowship at Akademiska Hospital, focusing on longitudinally examining factors that contribute to severe and enduring eating disorders in both youth and adults.
My main research areas are eating disorders, emotional instability, emotion regulation, and loneliness. I have a particular interest in single-case studies.
