I have a background as a systems developer and I hold academic degrees in both Information Architecture and Cognitive Science. I have a PhD in Human-Computer Interaction where my dissertation was a theoretical work on knowledge elicitation. My research revolves around human reasoning, decision making, and learning and is carried out within both Human Factors and Educational Technology.
I am associated with two different departments at Uppsala University. Firstly I am part of the Technology in Human Reasoning (TiHR) research group at the Division of Visual Information and Interaction at the IT Department. The research of this group focueses on use of technology to aid decision making, problem solving as well as ethical and critical thinking. At the Department of Education I am part of the project The News Evaluator in which we investigate how technical tools can be used to encourage civic online reasoning.
I am also a board member of the Swedish Cognitive Science Society which is a network for academics involved in research related to cognitive science in Sweden.
