Through his ongoing practical and theoretical work in Germany and Sweden, Christian maintains a strong connection with the corporate world. He has over nine years of practical expertise in finance, accounting, and controlling; six years in social media and communication; and more than 11 years expertise in team management positions. Working with organizations such as IBM, Deutsche Telekom, Foot Locker, H&M, and Mazda, he has had the possibility to extend his business knowledge across diverse industries and departments.

For his research, he is investigating business intelligence (BI), big data analytics (BDA) and Social Media under the lens of management control/accounting. The human factor, embeddedness, and integration of IT systems, and process views are important aspects in his scientific work.
His first journal paper is going to be a literature review about business intelligence and is looking at 947 journals in finance and accounting, strategy, and information system research and is planned for 2015.
