Ulla Hellström Muhli är docent i sociologi och univ.lektor i Socialt arbete ssk. Socialgerontologi vid Uppsala universitet.

Ph.D. Associate Professor of Sociology at the Dept. of Sociology of Uppsala University. Member of the Research Group on Welfare and Senior Lecturer in Social Work, specially Social Gerontology.

Biography

Ulla Hellström Muhli (UHM) received her Ph.D from the Department of Health Care Pedagogics at Göteborg University with a dissertation entitled Bridging perspectives - A study of need assessment dialogues in elderly orient social work. http://gupea.ub.gu.se/dspace/handle/2077/8473?mode=full&submit_simple=Visa       

 

UHM is a member of Swedish Gerontological Society, and member of the research group; Changes in the (Swedish) Welfare State at the Department of Sociology, Uppsala University. She leads the research network: Talk, Text and Tools (3T) - Scandinavian Interdisciplinary Health Communication. www.hhj.hj.se/3t   From 2013 to 2015, UHM is holder of a research network grant from The Swedish Council for Working Life and Social Research for this researcher network. 

                     

Current projects: Communicative practises in talk-interaction between older people and institutional representatives, together with PhD, Professor of Communication Barry Saferstein,  California State University San Marcos, USA, (PhD in Cognitive Sociology) and Eleni Siouta, Lecturer at the Division of Nursing, Department of Neurobiology, Care Sciences and Society (NVS), Karolinska Institutet, Sweden. PhD, candidate in Caring science, at Karolinska institute, Stockholm, Sweden.
