2.8 Scholarship Board

Part of University Committees

A number of foundations whose administration is entrusted to Uppsala University stipulate that disposable returns are to be used in part for scholarships and research grants for students, doctoral students and researchers. Decisions on awards from these funds rest with the Vice-Chancellor or, in certain cases, with a specially designated board, committee or individual, acting on the Vice-Chancellor’s proposals. A Scholarship Board exists to prepare decisions in these matters.

Composition of the Scholarship Board (decision of 16 June 2016)

Two teachers from each disciplinary domain

Two students nominated jointly by the students’ unions at Uppsala University

The staff of the University Scholarships Office have the right to attend board meetings and participate in discussions.

The Board meets once at the end of each semester and otherwise as often as it considers necessary.
