2.5 Equal Opportunity Advisory Board

The Board’s main responsibility is to advance the University’s efforts to promote equal opportunities, in accordance with the current governance documents. The Board advises the Vice-Chancellor on University-wide strategic equal opportunities work.

Composition of the Board:
Chair: Adviser to the Vice-Chancellor on Equal Opportunities
Two members from each disciplinary domain
One member from the University Administration
One member from the University Library
One member from each of the staff associations with which the University has a master agreement and three members representing the University’s students.

The members for the disciplinary domains, the University Administration and the University Library are appointed by the Vice-Chancellor, acting on proposals from the entity concerned. The representatives of the staff associations and the students, and their alternates, are selected by the relevant organisation.
