  • Language contact and mixture in Scandinavia in the Middle Ages.

  • Textual scholarship, material philology and electronic text editing of manuscripts and early books.

  • Historical linguistics and dialectology (mainland Scandinavia)

  • Medieval sermons and preaching.

  • Medieval concepts of ethnic identity and Otherness.

  • Muslim-Jewish-Christian relations in the Middle Ages.
