I have a general interest in the landscape carbon (C) balance and particular the influence of streams, lakes and coastal areas and their function as processors of C and as conduits for transferring C across the terrestrial/aquatic/atmosphere interfaces. Much of my research focus on 1) the terrestrial/aquatic connectivity and the transfer of carbon from land to water. 2) aquatic/atmospheric interactions with focus on controls of the exchange of C between water and air.
