Jag tog min doktorsexamen (IMCH) i september 2013 (Krigsvåldtäkt i Demokratiska Republiken Kongo). Jag är forskare/föreläsare som arbetar med genus och hälsa, mellanmänskligt våld och på sistone med projekt om mobbning vid Sri Lankas universitet och fäders vård och näring av barn i Addis Abeba, Etiopien. Jag undervisar i kvalitativa forskningsmetoder (intro till avancerad) samt ämnen som rör genus och teori. Jag är utbildad gestaltterapeut och har praktik i Uppsala. (www.sacred-space.se)

Biografi

Jill is a Canadian registered nurse who has worked for many years in hospital-based trauma units and spent a couple of years in a sexual/domestic violence clinic in Canada. She holds a BA with a focus on Peace and Conflict studies from Waterloo University in Canada and a Masters of Science in International Health from Uppsala University. She has (in Sept 2013) sucessfully defended her doctorate thesis which investigated the phenomena of war rape in Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo. She is associated with the Centre for Gender Research and the International Maternal and Child Health unit of Women's and Children's Health located within the medical faculty at Uppsala University. She is currently a lecturer at IMCH and coordinator of the Qualitative Discussion Group. Her lecture topics include Qualitative Methods (Introduction, Basic and Advanced) Gender, Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights and War rape. Her current research projects are Bullying in Sri Lankan universities and Fathers' role in care and feeding of Children in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. She is a trained Gestalt therapist and has a practice in Uppsala. (www.sacred-space.se)
