Dr. Mikael Eriksson has been affiliated with the International Business research group since September 2008. Currently, he is working on one project about the role of experience and routines in firms' international expansions and one project about board interlocks and international growth of firms.

The previous research has concerned market expansions of western MNCs into Chinese mid-markets. Dr. Eriksson’s dissertation concerned pluralistic organizations, process ontology, and expansions in rapidly changing environments. His conceptual multi-process model was earned him the “That’s interesting award” given out by Aalto School in the annual meeting of Academy of International Business, and Mikael’s thesis has been selected as one out of four finalists for the Gunnar Hedlund Award, which is a bi-annual international prize given by SSE for the best Ph.D. thesis in the field of International Business.

Mikael has also been working at the Fudan University, Shanghai China, as a track responsible for international business courses and he has previously been working in management consultancy firms in Italy and Sweden.
