I am a postdoctoral fellow in English Literature. After the award of my PhD in 2012, I held a Swedish Research Council postdoctoral fellowship at Uppsala University and the Universtiy of Glasgow (2014-17). My current research project, which is funded by the Åke Wiberg foundation, examines the political implications of intimacy and interiority in literary modernism, with a particular focus on Virginia Woolf and Katherine Mansfield. This project illuminates the relevance of recent developments in contemporary theory as a framework for understanding the convergence of intimacy, aesthetics and politics in key modernist works. My monograph Virginia Woolf and the Ethics of Intimacy is forthcoming with Bloomsbury Academic. I am assisting with the editing of Woolf’s Orlando for Cambridge University Press, and am co-editing, with Amy Bromley, an essay collection entitled Sentencing Orlando: Virginia Woolf and The Morphology of the Modernist Sentence (forthcoming, Edinburgh University Press). I am also editing a volume of essays entitled Modernist Intimacies (forthcoming, Edinburgh University Press).
