Kort presentation

I use mixed-methods – including lab-in-the-field experiments, survey experiments, surveys and interviews – to examine the impact of war and displacement on individuals’ political psychology.

Mina kurser

My current research examines how trust and altruism are shaped by the experience of war and displacement. Existing research in war-affected societies largely finds that war enhances parochial trust and altruism. However, in the wake of mass violence and displacement large refugee populations reside outside war-affected states. What impact do host country environments have on the social preferences of refugees? This research examines new data collected through field experiments with refugees from Syria and Iraq living in Turkey and Sweden.
