Biografi
Denna text finns inte på svenska, därför visas den engelska versionen.
I studied for my BA, MA and PhD degrees in linguistics at Lancaster University, UK and before I did my PhD I taught English as a foreign language in northern Italy. I joined the Department of English at Uppsala in 2022.
I am editor of Language and Literature, the journal of the Poetics and Linguistics Association. I also co-edit the book series Advances in Stylistics for Bloomsbury and am the co-founder and co-editor of Babel: The Language Magazine.
My recent books include The Babel Lexicon of Language (Cambridge University Press, 2022; with Lesley Jeffries, Matt Evans, Hazel Price and Erica Gold), History of English: A Resource Book for Students (Routledge, 2020, 2nd edition), Corpus Stylistics: Theory and Practice (Edinburgh University Press, 2019; with Brian Walker) and Applying Linguistics: Language and the Impact Agenda (Routledge, 2018; co-edited with Hazel Price).
