Dr. Saroj Kumar is working in life science for the last 10 years, including his expertise in vibrational spectroscopy & imaging, protein chemistry and cancer research. He started bachelor and master study in human biology at All India Institute of Medical sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, India in biomedicine. The doctoral study at the Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics at Stockholm University, Sweden, he worked on to an understanding of ligand binding mechanisms of soluble as well as membrane proteins as well as on method development for infrared (IR) spectroscopy. Later he worked as a postdoctoral fellow at Universite libre de Bruxelles, Belgium and Mid IR beam line at the national synchrotron source in Canada. Here he worked extensively on breast cancer and multiple sclerosis by using the infrared imaging, culture growth and other spectroscopy modalities such as X-ray fluorescence and X-ray absorption spectroscopy. So far he published many international research articles and reviewer of several international journals. He accepted the project leader position to work on cancer and chronic pain at Uppsala University, Sweden.
