My research interests primarily concern two overriding themes. The first theme concerns social differentiation and the marketization of education. The second theme is orientated towards school choice and housing segregation, as well as matters of migration. Currently, I lead a research project financed by The Swedish Research Council (VR) related to the preceding themes - Transition between preschool and comprehensive school – Analyses of how preschool participation and socioeconomic context affect children's early educational trajectories.
Furthermore, I lead the interdisciplinary research network Studies on Education, Migration and Segregation which is financed by CIRCUS – Centre for Integrated Research on Culture and Society at Uppsala University.
