Kort presentation

The current aim of my research is to employ the model organism Drosophila melanogaster to evaluate the physiological costs of perturbing genes linked to human obesity. Many of the genes linked with obesity seem to be involved in regulating the development or function of the nervous system. I aim to understand specific functional roles of homologous obesity-linked genes, in the central nervous system, at the organismal, cellular and molecular levels.
