Som universitetslektor i energiomställning på Uppsala Universitet Campus Gotland forskar och undervisar jag om storskaliga omställningar till mer hållbara energisystem.

Biografi
Simon Davidsson Kurland är civilingenjör i energisystem och teknologie doktor i Naturresurser och hållbar utveckling från Uppsala Universitet. Efter postdoktoral forskning på Stanford samt Chalmers tekniska högskola återvände han under 2020 till Uppsala Universitet som universitetslektor i energiomställning på Campus Gotland.
Hans forskning behandlar flertalet aspekter av storskaliga energiomställningar, så som:
- omställningsvägar till hållbara energisystem,
- behov och tillgång av råmaterial till energiteknik, och
- livscykel- och energianalys.
Simon Davidsson Kurland är också del av en grupp forskare som föreslagit skapandet av en ny vetenskaplig disciplin för forskare som behandlar storskaliga energisystem från olika forskningsfält.
