Kort presentation
Min forskning fokuserar på socio-ekonomiska, religiösa och kulturella aspekter av livet i forna Främre Orienten samt områdets idéhistoria. Mitt huvudsakliga fokus ligger i sumeriska och akkadiska kilskriftstexter, främst på lertavlor från 3:e årtusendet fvt samt på kombinationen av språkligt och arkeologiskt material. Kilskriftskulturerna i forna Främre Orienten täcker en period av ungefär 3300 år; vilket i runda tal motsvarar 60 procent av nedskriven mänsklig historia.

Biografi
Jag blev FD 2012 på ett doktorsarbete om sumeriska och akkadiska personnamn under tiden 2800–2200 fvt. Sedan 2006 har jag undervisat kurser i akkadiska och sumeriska på grundnivå och fortsättningsnivå; liksom kurser i den forna Främre Orientens äldre kulturers politiska och kulturella historia. Undervisningen i historia och religion har regelbundet kombinerats med studier av forntida texter vilka kastar ljus över specifika fenomen. Vissa kurser undervisas via internet eller kombineras med internetresurser. Internetkurser och distanspedagogik intresserar mig i synnerlig grad. Våren 2014 tillträdde jag min tjänst som universitetslektor i Assyriologi.
